I'm a nature lover, dog mom of two wild and wonderful pups, and the founder behind LOU'S APOTHECARY. I created this business because, like so many of you, I was so over putting mystery chemicals on my skin and using products that were supposed to help, but just left me more frustrated, more sensitive, and honestly… more skeptical.

That’s when I started digging through the archives for the stuff that's been used for centuries, you know, that good stuff. Simple, wholesome, and straight from nature. And once I tried tallow, something just clicked. My skin started feeling like mine again—healthy, calm, and actually happy.

I wanted others to feel that same kind of relief, confidence, and connection to nature. So I started crafting small-batch tallow balms and butters in my own kitchen, using only ingredients I can pronounce, that are sourced with care and are things I’d be proud to put on myself, and the people (and dogs!) I love.
